Lessons will be offered in four week courses. Each course costs only $10.00 for the whole four weeks!
No partner necessary!
Offered Courses (changes monthly):
Beginner Salsa: learn the basics of salsa. It’s as easy as walking!
Experienced Beginner Salsa: A level above salsa. The basic turns, cross body lead, New Yorkers, and cuddles should be familiar. This class will add to your repertoire of moves that you can do on the dance floor.
Intermediate Salsa: This course assumes that you are well versed in many different moves. It combines different salsa moves and twists them a bit, to add more flair to the dance floor! Hands, hips, turns, dips and partnerwork are especially focused on.
Advanced Salsa. This course is particularly challenging. Taking many dance moves and creating various short combinations, with particular focus on partnerwork, body positioning, and communication between partners while incorporating complicated salsa combos.
Beginner/Intermediate Bachata: Learn the basics of this sexy dance! The course assumes that the student’s have some prior knowledge in dancing, if only beginner knowledge. Turn patterns and particular moves incorporated with this dance will be learned.
Lessons will be held at the Student Activity Center at 333 E. Campus Mall on the Fourth Floor in the Multipurpose Room at the end of the hall. The building is located at the corner of Johnson St. and Lake St. Enter through the south east end, next to Walgreens.
